The local bus service (Halkidiki KTEL) offers a frequent schedule with many busses per day. From the Bus Service (KTEL) terminal in Thessaloniki, you can take any bus to Cassandra with an end stop at Hanioti, Pefkohori or Paliouri and ask the driver to let you off at Hanioti. The easiest way to get from Thessaloniki to the Hilltop is by car.  The average driving time from Thessaloniki to the Hilltop, from the K12 exit on the Ring Road or the airport, usually does not exceed one hour. The distance is around 90 kilometers (under 60 miles) and the road, at least for the first 70 kilometers is very good.
