Unfortunately had to return home after a fantastic 2 weeks at the Hilltop in August. For those of you who are thinking about staying at the Hilltop for the first time, don't hesitate in booking. I have had holidays in Greece for the last 15 years and always said that I would never go to the same place twice. 5 occasions later (and for the last 3 years) - it gets better and better. A big thank you to Bill and his staff for being such wonderful hosts. Besides us adults, we have children ages ranging from 19 to 4. All were catered for and will happily return next year and the year after and so on. Bill is the nicest person you could ever wish to meet and cannot do enough to make your stay the best ever. I have seen negative comments in reviews and am at a loss to understand why - ignore them, give it a try and make your own mind up - you won't be disappointed. Sitting on the balcony early evening with a bottle of Mythos overlooking the Sithonia peninsula is magical. You couldn't wish for a nicer view. Great choices for breakfast - yes there is a variation on eggs - consider yourself lucky to have this. There is also fresh bread rolls, ham and cheese, toast, greek yoghurt with honey or a selection of jams, cereal, biscuits, fruit, orange squash, coffee and tea. For 9 Euros, you can have a fantastic 4 course evening meal. Soup, salad, main course (including 2 different specials each evening) and a dessert all followed by coffee. A very good sized swimming pool with a small pool for children adjacent to it. Lunch is served at the poolside bar with enough selection to have something different each day for a fortnight with some in reserve. You may be lucky enough to see the tortoise and in the evening the frogs near to the pool. If only we were still there!! Happy to respond to any questions / queries.

My second visit to Hanioti and second time staying at the wonderfull Hilltop Hotel. We visited during August for 2 weeks and wish we could have stayed a third week, we were gutted to leave. Hilltop Hotel is comfortable, clean and the staff are wonderful, what more could you want! As before we were met off the coach and checked in very quickly, our bags were carried to our room. Rooms are airy and spacious and the beds are super comfortable, not something you get at every hotel! Breakfast is between 08:30 and 10:00 and there really is something for everyone. Breakfast consists of yoghurt, toast, different preserves such as jams and honey and chocolate spread (yum) 2-3 different cereals, fruit, ham, cheese, boiled eggs, feta, cookies, bread rolls not to mention the goodies that Julie our lovely waitress kept bringing out (doughnuts, egg on toast, little pizza things). So unless you are very fussy there is something to tempt you at breakfast time, also there are not many hotels that offer a complimentary breakfast but Hilltop has it covered! For us the location of the hotel is perfect as we didn't want to stay in the town. Hilltop is just far enough away from the town to be peaceful and quiet but plenty close enough to walk to very easily. The walk into town will take you approx' 5-10 mins no more than that and there are plenty of good bars and restaurants. A s the name suggests the hotel is situated on a hill but don't let that put you off, the walk back up is not difficult and unless you are very elderly with walking difficulties it is a good excuse to walk off some calories! Something else to mention are the wonderful lunches and dinners the hotel do. There are plenty of great snacks to be had at the pool bar and for the evening you can get a 3 course meal for only 9 Euros, brilliant! The meals are wonderful so tasty and well cooked you'd be a fool not to try them and there is plenty of choice on the menu. The only thing left to say is that we had a brilliant time staying at Hilltop, Bill kept us entertained with funny stories and all the staff (Julie, Bennie, Christos) worked tirelessly to ensure we had a great time, we will definitely be back next year, we cant wait!! occurs
